Thanks for visiting! I created this space to share some background on my product management, communications, event management, and community experiences professionally.
For career traditionalists, I can see how the path is not consistent. For my colleagues whose work centers on creating change in the workforce, the variety demonstrates a pattern of adapting and understanding customer needs.
What I have gained from my career choices are spaces to practice what I do well: strategize, problem solve, empathize, continuously ideate, and work on projects with passion and objectivity. These traits I have applied to all of my work.
I worked on my first product 14 years ago while still working as a meeting planner. Developing an online registration system signaled the transition of the office's meeting-and-event efforts to a digital experience. I can only describe the feeling of designing a product and a solution from scratch as exhilarating. It was also an honor to connect my colleagues' needs with a product they could use and create a solution that users knew supported them.
In time, I recognized how well the skills for event management, communications, and product management worked well together and how I could apply them to my passion projects and the communities I served.
I am grateful for the ways my career path continues to impact my professional development. I hope to add "founder" to my resume in the future. In the meantime, I fervently hope to connect with people and organizations that create products supporting, engaging, and creating access for underserved communities.
